Thanks!! I use Godot game engine which has a built-in way to make a game build in a single file. Basically it embeds all the resources into the executable, that's all I know about it though.
If using Godot, just tick the box "Embed Pck" while exporting to win, linux, etc.
I'm encountering a bug where picking up coins doesn't actually add to the amount of money the character holds. I'm playing on the Linux build, if that's any help.
Despite this bug, the game is quite fun so far! I'll be happy to get back into it whenever the bug is patched :)

Really love the grind for coins and gun upgrades! And the game gives me a feel of nostalgia for cave story <3

Should be fixed now! You should still be able to play on your previous save file, this time picking up coins as well.
